The development proposals will provide a 17-flat development at 88 Highburgh Road in Hyndland, Glasgow.

The first and principal goal that the design addresses is to respect the scales of both the adjoining three/four storey blonde sandstone Victorian terrace and the four storey red sandstone tenements opposite on Hyndland Road.

The new building allows a transition between the different styles and scales on the existing streetscape. Natural materials are used to complement the existing buildings, but are used in a contemporary manner.

The design maintains the landscaped front garden areas to Highburgh Road and provides a new considered tree planting scheme on Highburgh Lane.  Private parking facilities are provided in the basement via a car lift.

Planning consent was also granted for a reduced scheme of 12 units.
