We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate. It is important to uphold our sound reputation for ethical behaviour, financial probity and reliability.

In support of this aim we intend to limit our exposure to bribery and corruption by:

  • Setting out a clear anti-bribery & corruption policy
  • Encouraging employees to be vigilant and to report any suspicion of bribery ensuring sensitive information is treated appropriately
  • Rigorously investigating instances of alleged bribery
  • Taking action against any individual(s) involved in bribery or corruption

What is Bribery?

A bribe does not need to be actual money. It can be any form of advantage, offered, requested or received.  A recipient does not need to benefit personally from a bribe – it may be the intended beneficiary is a third party or a company. Bribery can occur in the private as well as the public sector – it is not just about our relationship with public officials. A contract does not need to have been won for a corruption offence to be committed.

Anti Bribery Policy

The policy rules that all Partners, employees, agents or other service providers must:

  • not offer, promise or pay bribes
  • not request, agree to or accept bribes
  • report any concerns regarding possible breach the policy

This policy applies to Partners, Employees, Agents or other Service Providers associated with the Practice.

Raising concerns

The prevention, detection and reporting of bribery is the responsibility of all working for or on behalf of IDP Architects.  Suitable channels of communication to ensure any suspicion of bribery are reported will be maintained. Employees who are suspected of involvement in bribery or corruption will be subject to disciplinary procedure.
